The Half Moon is a beautiful Grade II Listed building in Kirdford, West Sussex, dating back to the 15th century. Lovingly restored to its former glory with modern twists, The Half Moon is a labour of love, borne out of a lifetime commitment to West Sussex.
Our desire is to provide a warm, homely space where guests can unwind and enjoy fine food in the beautiful Sussex countryside.
Honest, quality and natural are key to everything we do, from the ingredients we source, the food we serve and the seamless service provided by our experienced front-of-house team.
This Idyllic pub now focuses on being a hub for the village with a friendly relaxed environment, a great selection of local beer , fine wines, coffee and of course great food!
The Half Moon menu is focused on locally sourced seasonal game, fresh fish & seafood and hand cut steaks!
Pop in for one of our ‘already’ famous steaks grilled to perfection.
Always local, always seasonal and above all, always freshly prepared from scratch. We offer proper pub fayre, prepared with love from fresh seasonal ingredients, many from our garden, and from our neighbouring farms, growers and producers. We won’t cut corners and make sure that we choose all of our ingredients carefully, always thinking about the best way to serve them for you to enjoy.
Our food menu is evolving all of the time, we try to keep the pub classics such as Steaks, Fish & Chips and Pies available daily and our Specials Board changes every day.
For the children, we offer a children’s menu so don’t feel like you have to leave the kids at home.
If you require any special dietary requirements, please give us a call and discuss your needs so that we can cater for you accordingly. We can always put food on your plate, but let us know in advance and we’ll make sure it’s great.
